25/11/11: Give yourself an extra gift

Smokers in Coventry wanting to give themselves an extra special present for Christmas are being encouraged to Stop4Life.

By signing up this month (November) to get help and support from Stop4Life - a new free NHS stop smoking service in the city - quitters who smoked 20 per day could save almost £400 by the end of December.

With a wide range of one-to-one appointments available in community clinics across the city, the team of friendly Stop4Life advisors are on hand to help people wanting to start the journey to a smoke free future.

Simon Dudman, Director of Health and Lifestyle Services for ICE Creates Ltd, the company behind Stop4Life, said: "Giving up smoking is one of the most beneficial things you can do to improve your health and wealth. With the support of our NHS service, you are four more times likely to succeed in staying smoke free for life.

"With Christmas around the corner, we are encouraging people to use our service to start their New Year's resolutions early and save themselves some major cash at this expensive time of year."

In Coventry, the NHS estimates around 500 people die every year from smoking related illnesses.
